AR CONTEMPORARY

A CORUÑA 1981
Spanish pop surrealist painter Perrilla showed an early passion for Nature, Stars and Art.
Her work, rich in detail and often featuring childlike female figures with large, expressive eyes, invites viewers into a parallel universe - a Mirror World suspended between sleep and wakefulness. In this world, extinct species continue to exist, and fantastical, endearing creatures filled with symbolism bring balance to her compositions, enhancing the narrative and encouraging a dialogue with the viewer. These figures gaze back, as if questioning you.
Perrilla’s art is distinctly feminist and emotional, portraying women as both strong and tender, simultaneously resilient and dreamlike. Her use of soft, pastel tones—dominated by shades of pink roses—creates a visual language ready to challenge traditional norms and break with established canons.
Over the years, her work has been exhibited in both national and international galleries, featured in children’s book illustrations and posters, and she has also published the comic book "The Moon Cat".
