MEXICO 1997

Alina Rotzinger's life and experiences are vividly reflected in her designs. Constantly seeking to share her vision and reality, the artist explores the connection between technology and her upbringing in the Mexican jungle.

Through carefully crafted objects, she aims to bridge the gap between nature and the modern, technological, industrialized world, creating pieces that defy clear categorization. By juxtaposing natural and artificial materials, as well as organic and geometric shapes, Alina’s work blurs the lines between contrasting elements.

Alina began her studies in Interior Architecture at UNARTE Puebla. She then pursued a diploma in fine arts at the Rufino Tamayo School in Oaxaca, under the influence of the renowned Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo. With three years of experience as a graphic designer and interior designer, she expanded her creative reach by joining the ceramic collective Moss Keramik in Berlin, Germany.

In addition, Alina founded Estudio Rotzinger, a studio dedicated to the design and creation of artistic pieces, where her unique approach continues to shape her distinctive body of work which focuses on sculpture, installation, video art, ceramics, and large formats.
